AOC France - Bordeaux
Grape Variety: 70% merlot - 30% cabernet sauvignon
Region: Bordeaux
Terroir: When it comes to wine, France is a classic. Classic blends, grapes and styles began in the country and they still remain. Think about it - people ask for a Burgundian style Pinot Noir, they refer to wines as Bordeaux blend - Champagne even had to pass a law to stop international wineries from putting their region on the label of all sparkling wine.
Signe's family moved to Chateau Petit Moulin in 1649 and are tenants of watermill. It is the miller's Chateau La Benauge (high castle). By July 21, 1713 our ancestor Jean Fradinbought the mill to turn wheat into flour. Over the years the millers stopped operation and created the vineyards of Chateau Petit Moulin.
In 1969 Alain SIGNE the 16th generation of the family begins to develop the family farm. With his wife Marie-Jose, they increase the vineyard and they began to sell bottles of wine.
In 1998, Alain and Marie-José ask their children Valerie and Frederic to come to join them. Valerie begins to market the for export and Frederic became the head of wine making. The family then buys a new vineyard Chateau de Los.
The vineyards produce 500 000 bottles of 70 hectares of vines, export 90% of their production in Bordeaux AOP red, white, rosé and AOP Bordeaux Supérieur.
Valérie and Frédéric hope their children will reseume the Château Petit Moulin to perpetuate the family tradition. In 2013 will celebrate its 300 years history.

New-wood aromas stand out strongly in this prestige cuvée from Signe. On the palate, they are integrating well into the rich berry fruits and ripe, lush texture.
Combine it with grilled meats, sausages and game with heavy red sauces.
