Terroir: Made from organically grown grapes of the Greek Thessalian variety Limniona.
THEOPETRA ESTATE is the Tsililis family's vineyard. The vineyards of the estate extend around the prehistoric cave of Theopetra at the foothills of Meteora Rocks, belonging to Protected Geographical Indication Meteora.
Here, in the Cave of Theopetra, there were found the first traces of human presence in Greece and scientists discovered, among other things, grape seeds from the Middle Paleolithic era, proving the ancient coexistence of this place with the vine and the wine.
Oenology: Controlled fermentation and aging in French oak barriques for 12 months
Winery: http://www.tsililis.gr/Deep garnet color, fruity aromas of strawberry and raspberry, sweet aromas of quince paste and dried figs and spicy aromas of cinnamon, cloves and white pepper. On the palate, it is soft and round with balanced acidity, silky tannins, sweet spicy flavors and long smooth finish.
Served with traditional Greek cuisine dishes, tender red meat and desserts with fruits and nuts.
